The option is to send the user’s password by email…regardless of whether the box is checked or not, WP sends the new user an email to inform them of their new account on your site. I wanted to disable any email (with password or not) to a newly registered user.

There’s a box in the new user area which says “send email to new user?” so the option is given to send one or not. You don’t really need a plugin to disable it.

I’m not sure “mac-fanboyism” is the point. The point of the font-stack is to have redundancy in case the user does not have the desired font installed on his or her computer. By your reasoning (same look on all platforms), then Helvetica shouldn’t be called in the stack at all…why waste a few bytes?

The math is easy: Helvetica comes with all Macs. Arial comes with all Macs and all Windows systems. Which font is the safer one and guarantees the same look on all platforms? Arial. Slightly better looks or “I’m all Apple”-fanboyism is irrelevant here.

Don’t forget to use clipping to clean up the bleed. e.g. -webkit-background-clip
