
Summary: Product design and marketing campaign for an upcoming art show at Community Access to the Arts (CATA). CATA is a Berkshire-based arts organization that nurtures and celebrates the creativity of people with disabilities through shared experiences in the visual and performing arts. After stumbling across an old CATA T-shirt with the slogan, “I Am a Part of Art,” we were inspired to create a bracelet to debut at the gallery opening.

As we approach our one year anniversary as Deelux, we decided to re-tool the website a bit. The biggest change is that we’ve decided to add a blog. We’ve tried this before: first in the form of an image-only “inspiration” blog, then again as a “cool stuff for your house” kind of blog. But we didn’t feel like either one was very representative of us.
We’re not out to build such a tremendous following that we could live off of ad revenue (although, don’t let that deter you from being a fan); and we think the “cool stuff for your house” arena is pretty much covered (see Swiss Miss, Design*Sponge, Core77). So we decided to focus on delving further into design projects, tutorials, and work process. In this way, we hope you will get to know us — and love us — a little better.
